BNV : দায়ূদ গাত্‌ থেকে চলে গেলেন| তিনি পালিয়ে অদুল্লমের গুহায় গেলেন| দাযূদের ভাই আর আত্মীযস্বজনরা এই সংবাদ জানতে পারল| তারা সেখানে দাযূদের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেল|
KJV : David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
YLT : And David goeth thence, and is escaped unto the cave of Adullam, and his brethren hear, and all the house of his father, and go down unto him thither;

BNV : অনেক লোক দাযূদের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হল| তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ কোন বিপদে পড়েছিল, কেউ অনেক টাকা ধার করেছিল, আবার কেউ জীবনে সুখ শান্তি পাচ্ছিল না| এরা সকলেই দাযূদের সঙ্গে য়োগ দিল| দায়ূদ হলেন তাদের নেতা| তাঁর সঙ্গে ছিল এরকম 400 জন পুরুষ|
KJV : And every one [that was] in distress, and every one that [was] in debt, and every one [that was] discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
YLT : and gather themselves unto him do every man in distress, and every man who hath an exactor, and every man bitter in soul, and he is over them for head, and there are with him about four hundred men.

ERVEN : Many people joined David. There were men who were in some kind of trouble, men who owed a lot of money, and men who were just not satisfied with life. All kinds of people joined David, and he became their leader. He had about 400 men with him.

BNV : অদুল্লম থেকে দায়ূদ গেলেন মিস্পাতে| মিস্পা মোয়াবের একটা জায়গা| মোয়াবের রাজাকে দায়ূদ বললেন, “যতদিন না আমি জানতে পারছি ঈশ্বর আমার জন্য কি করবেন, ততদিন দয়া করে আপনি আমার পিতা-মাতাকে আপনার কাছে থাকতে দিন|”
KJV : And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, [and be] with you, till I know what God will do for me.
YLT : And David goeth thence to Mizpeh of Moab, and saith unto the king of Moab, `Let, I pray thee, my father and my mother go out with you, till that I know what God doth for me;`
RV : And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, {cf15i and be} with you, till I know what God will do for me.
RSV : And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab, "Pray let my father and my mother stay with you, till I know what God will do for me."
ASV : And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
ESV : And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab. And he said to the king of Moab, "Please let my father and my mother stay with you, till I know what God will do for me."
ERVEN : David left Adullam and went to Mizpah in Moab. David said to the king of Moab, "Please let my father and mother come and stay with you until I learn what God is going to do to me."

BNV : তারপর দায়ূদ মোয়াবের রাজার কাছে তাঁর পিতামাতাকে রেখে চলে গেলেন| যতদিন দায়ূদ দুর্গে থেকেছিলেন ততদিন তাঁর পিতামাতা মোয়াবের রাজার কাছে রইলেন|
KJV : And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
YLT : and he leadeth them before the king of Moab, and they dwell with him all the days of David`s being in the fortress.
RV : And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
RSV : And he left them with the king of Moab, and they stayed with him all the time that David was in the stronghold.

ERVEN : So David left his parents with the king of Moab. They stayed with the king of Moab as long as David was at the fort.

BNV : কিন্তু ভাববাদী গাদ দায়ূদকে বললেন, “দুর্গে থেকো না| যিহূদা দেশে চলে যাও|” দায়ূদ সেইমত দুর্গ ছেড়ে হেরত্‌ অরণ্যে চলে গেলেন|
KJV : And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
YLT : And Gad the prophet saith unto David, `Thou dost not abide in a fortress, go, and thou hast entered for thee the land of Judah;` and David goeth and entereth the forest of Hareth.
RV : And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hereth.
RSV : Then the prophet Gad said to David, "Do not remain in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah." So David departed, and went into the forest of Hereth.

ERVEN : But the prophet Gad said to David, "Don't stay in the fort. Go to the land of Judah." So David left and went to Hereth Forest.

BNV : শৌল শুনতে পেলেন যে দায়ূদ আর তাঁর সঙ্গীদের সম্বন্ধে লোকরা খবর পেয়েছে| গিবিয়ার পাহাড়ে একটা গাছের নীচে শৌল বল্লম হাতে নিয়ে বসেছিলেন| তাঁর চারপাশে অনুচররা তাঁকে ঘিরে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিল|
KJV : When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that [were] with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants [were] standing about him;)
YLT : And Saul heareth that David hath become known, and the men who [are] with him, and Saul is abiding in Gibeah, under the grove in Ramah, and his spear [is] in his hand, and all his servants standing by him.
RV : And Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him: now Saul was sitting in Gibeah, under the tamarisk tree in Ramah, with his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him.

ESV : Now Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men who were with him. Saul was sitting at Gibeah under the tamarisk tree on the height with his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him.
ERVEN : Saul heard the report about David and his men while sitting under the tree on the hill at Gibeah. Saul had his spear in his hand. All of his officers were standing around him.

BNV : শৌল তাদের বললেন, “বিন্যামীনের লোকরা শোন, তোমরা কি মনে করো য়িশযের পুত্র (দায়ূদ) তোমাদের ক্ষেত এবং দ্রাক্ষা ক্ষেতগুলি দেবে? তোমরা কি মনে করো দায়ূদ তোমাদের চাকরির উন্নতি করে দেবে এবং 1,000 লোকের উপর বা 100 লোকের উপরে তোমাদের নিযুক্ত করবে?”
KJV : Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, [and] make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;
YLT : And Saul saith to his servants who are standing by him, `Hear, I pray you, ye Benjamites; also to all of you doth the son of Jesse give fields and vineyards! all of you he doth appoint heads of thousands and heads of hundreds!
RV : And Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, will he make you all captains of thousands and captains of hundreds;

ERVEN : Saul said to his officers who were standing around him, "Listen, men of Benjamin. Do you think the son of Jesse (David) will give you fields and vineyards? Do you think he will promote you and make you officers over 1000 men and officers over 100 men?

BNV : তোমরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে চক্রান্ত করছো| তোমরা চুপিচুপি আমার বিরুদ্ধে গোপনে মতলব আঁটছ| তোমাদের মধ্যে একজনও আমাকে বলনি যে আমার পুত্র য়োনাথন দায়ূদকে উত্সাহিত করেছে| তোমরা কেউ আমাকে গ্রাহ্য করো না| তোমরা কেউ বলনি আমার পুত্র য়োনাথন দায়ূদকে উত্সাহ দিয়েছে| য়োনাথন আমার ভৃত্য দায়ূদকে গা ঢাকা দিতে বলেছিল, যাতে সে আমাকে আক্রমণ করতে পারে| আর দায়ূদ এখন ঠিক এটাই করে যাচ্ছে|”
KJV : That all of you have conspired against me, and [there is] none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and [there is] none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
YLT : for ye have conspired all of you against me, and there is none uncovering mine ear about my son`s covenanting with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you grieving for me, and uncovering mine ear, that my son hath raised up my servant against me, to lie in wait as [at] this day.`
RV : that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that discloseth to me when my son maketh a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or discloseth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

ASV : that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that discloseth to me when my son maketh a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or discloseth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
ESV : that all of you have conspired against me? No one discloses to me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse. None of you is sorry for me or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day."
ERVEN : No, but all of you are plotting against me. None of you told me about my son Jonathan and the agreement he made with the son of Jesse. None of you cares enough about me to tell me that my own son Jonathan encouraged David to turn against me and attack me. And that is what David is doing now."

BNV : ইদোম পরিবারের দোযেগ সেখানে শৌলের আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে দাঁড়িয়েছিল| দোযেগ বললেন, “আমি য়িশযের পুত্রকে নোবে দেখেছিলাম| সে অহীটুবের পুত্র অহীমেলকের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এসেছিল|
KJV : Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
YLT : And answer doth Doeg the Edomite, who is set over the servants of Saul, and saith, `I have seen the son of Jesse coming in to Nob, unto Ahimelech son of Ahitub,
RV : Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which stood by the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
RSV : Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who stood by the servants of Saul, "I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub,

ERVEN : Doeg the Edomite was standing there with Saul's officers. Doeg said, "I saw Jesse's son at Nob. David came to see Ahimelech son of Ahitub.

BNV : অহীমেলক দাযূদের জন্য প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করেছিল| সে দায়ূদকে খাবারও দিয়েছিল| তাছাড়া পলেষ্টীয় গলিযাতের তরবারিও দিয়েছিল|”
KJV : And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.
YLT : and he asketh for him at Jehovah, and provision hath given to him, and the sword of Goliath the Philistine hath given to him.
RV : And he inquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

ERVEN : Ahimelech prayed to the Lord for David and gave him some food. He even gave David the sword of Goliath the Philistine."

BNV : অতঃপর রাজা শৌল যাজককে ডেকে আনতে কযেকজনকে পাঠালেন| তিনি অহীটুবের পুত্র অহীমেলক এবং তার সকল আত্মীযদের ডেকে পাঠালেন| তাঁরা সকলেই নোবের যাজক ছিলেন| তাঁরা সকলেই রাজা শৌলের কাছে এলেন|
KJV : Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that [were] in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
YLT : And the king sendeth to call Ahimelech son of Ahitub, the priest, and all the house of his father, the priests, who [are] in Nob, and they come all of them unto the king;

ERVEN : Then King Saul ordered some men to bring the priest to him. Saul told them to bring Ahimelech son of Ahitub and all his relatives who were priests at Nob. So all of them came to the king.

BNV : শৌল অহীমেলককে বললেন, “শোনো অহীটুবের পুত্র|”অহীমেলক বললেন, “বলুন|”
KJV : And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I [am,] my lord.

BNV : শৌল বললেন, “কেন তুমি আর য়িশযের পুত্র আমার বিরুদ্ধে গোপনে চক্রান্ত করছ? তুমি দায়ূদকে রুটি দিয়েছিলে| শুধু তাম্প নয়, একা তরবারিও দিয়েছিলে| তুমি তার হয়ে ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করেছিলে| আর এখন দায়ূদ আমাকে আক্রমণ করার জন্যে সময় গুনছে!”
KJV : And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
YLT : And Saul saith unto him, `Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, by thy giving to him bread and a sword, and to ask for him at God, to rise against me, to lie in wait, as [at] this day?`
RV : And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
RSV : And Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, so that he has risen against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?"
ASV : And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
ESV : And Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword and have inquired of God for him, so that he has risen against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?"
ERVEN : Saul said to him, "Why did you and Jesse's son make secret plans against me? You gave David bread and a sword. You prayed to God for him. And right now, David is waiting to attack me."

BNV : অহীমেলক বললেন, “দায়ূদ আপনার খুবই অনুগত| আপনার কোনো অনুচরই দাযূদের মতো প্রভু ভক্ত নয়, সে আপনার জামাতা| আপনার রক্ষীদের দলপতি| আপনাদের বাড়ীর সকলেই দায়ূদকে সম্মান করে|
KJV : Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who [is so] faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
YLT : And Ahimelech answereth the king and saith, `And who among all thy servants [is] as David -- faithful, and son-in-law of the king, and hath turned aside unto thy council, and is honoured in thy house?
RV : Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who among all thy servants is so faithful as David, which is the king-s son in law, and is taken into thy council, and is honourable in thine house?
RSV : Then Ahimelech answered the king, "And who among all your servants is so faithful as David, who is the king's son-in-law, and captain over your bodyguard, and honored in your house?
ASV : Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who among all thy servants is so faithful as David, who is the kings son-in-law, and is taken into thy council, and is honorable in thy house?
ESV : Then Ahimelech answered the king, "And who among all your servants is so faithful as David, who is the king's son-in-law, and captain over your bodyguard, and honored in your house?
ERVEN : Ahimelech answered, "David is very faithful to you. Not one of your other officers is as faithful as David. He is your own son-in-law and the captain of your bodyguards. Your own family respects David.

BNV : দাযূদের জন্যে আমি ঈশ্বরের কাছে এই প্রথমবারই যে প্রার্থনা করেছি তা নয়| এর জন্যে, আমায় অথবা আমার কোন আত্মীযকে আপনি দোষী করবেন না| আমরা আপনার ভৃত্য| কি হচ্ছে আমি তার কিছুই জানি না|”
KJV : Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute [any] thing unto his servant, [nor] to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.
YLT : To-day have I begun to ask for him at God? far be it from me! let not the king lay anything against his servant, against any of the house of my father, for thy servant hath known nothing of all this, less or more.`
RV : Have I today begun to inquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knoweth nothing of all this, less or more.
RSV : Is today the first time that I have inquired of God for him? No! Let not the king impute anything to his servant or to all the house of my father; for your servant has known nothing of all this, much or little."
ASV : Have I to-day begun to inquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute anything unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father; for thy servant knoweth nothing of all this, less or more.
ESV : Is today the first time that I have inquired of God for him? No! Let not the king impute anything to his servant or to all the house of my father, for your servant has known nothing of all this, much or little."
ERVEN : That was not the first time I prayed to God for David. Not at all! Don't blame me or any of my relatives. We are your servants. I know nothing about what is happening."

BNV : তবু রাজা বললেন, “অহীমেলক, তুমি আর তোমার আত্মীযস্বজন সকলকেই মরতে হবে|”
KJV : And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
YLT : And the king saith, `Thou dost surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all the house of thy father.`
RV : And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father-s house.
RSV : And the king said, "You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father's house."
ASV : And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy fathers house.

ERVEN : But the king said, "Ahimelech, you and all your relatives must die."

BNV : রাজা প্রহরীদের কাছে ডেকে বললেন, “যাও প্রভুর সমস্ত যাজকদের হত্যা করে এসো| তাদের হত্যা করো, কারণ তারা দাযূদের দলে| তারা জানত দায়ূদ পালিয়ে যাচ্ছে, তবুও তারা আমাকে কিছু বলেনি|”কিন্তু কেউই প্রভুর যাজকদের আঘাত করতে রাজি হল না|
KJV : And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also [is] with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
YLT : And the king saith to runners, those standing by him, `Turn round, and put to death the priests of Jehovah, because their hand also [is] with David, and because they have known that he is fleeing, and have not uncovered mine ear;` and the servants of the king have not been willing to put forth their hand to come against the priests of Jehovah.
RV : And the king said unto the guard that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he fled, and did not disclose it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
RSV : And the king said to the guard who stood about him, "Turn and kill the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and they knew that he fled, and did not disclose it to me." But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
ASV : And the king said unto the guard that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of Jehovah; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he fled, and did not disclose it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of Jehovah.
ESV : And the king said to the guard who stood about him, "Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because their hand also is with David, and they knew that he fled and did not disclose it to me." But the servants of the king would not put out their hand to strike the priests of the LORD.
ERVEN : Then the king told the guards at his side, "Go and kill the priests of the Lord because they are on David's side too. They knew he was running away, but they didn't tell me." The king's officers refused to hurt the priests of the Lord.

BNV : তখন রাজা দোযেগকে আদেশ দিলেন| শৌল বললেন, “দোযেগ, তুমি যাজকদের হত্যা করো|” দোযেগ গিয়ে যাজকদের হত্যা করলো| সেই দিন সে 85 জন যাজককে হত্যা করল|
KJV : And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

ERVEN : So the king gave the order to Doeg. Saul said, "Doeg, you go kill the priests." So Doeg the Edomite went and killed the priests. That day he killed 85 men who were priests.

ERVEN : Nob was the city of the priests. Doeg killed all the people of Nob. He used his sword and killed men, women, children and small babies. He even killed their cattle, donkeys, and sheep.
